THE ZIGGURAT LINE Inspired by the stepped, architectural structures of Ancient Mesopotamia, this new work uses lines, steps and discs of colour to explore how colour and form interconnect. The material is porcelain, thrown on the wheel and glazed using a combination of early Chinese glaze recipes and modern industrial stains. The Ziggurat Line includes two forms, the Ziggurat and Plug. Each form is made from three parts, a bowl and two shallow plates or discs. The small forms are approximately 14cm wide and the big 40cm wide. The Ziggurat Line won an Elle Decoration ‘Future Classic’ Award in October 2005. For more information, please contact Natasha.
